We were tasked with bringing the Visa Travel message to a younger audience - this was a tension point in the brief because Visa is a pretty premium brand; whilst 'the kids' are loving brands that loosen their ties on socials. There was also a lot of partnership work in the mix - like Formula 1, The Olympics, Team Visa Athletes, Wellington on a Plate & Taronga Zoo - which made establishing a true-native social brand for Visa a tricky one to navigate.
It took some time and experimentation to find our sweet spot - we cracked it when we created 'The Reel World' - an episodic series of visceral travel memories through the lens of what could be your photo reel.
From there, the rest of the creative tumbled out organically and we saw metrics skyrocket. Visa Global caught wind and has since started to adopt our approach in other markets.
Working on The Olympics was pretty cool, too. Talk about brand guidelines 😮💨
