Crescent Tools 

Tradies love to muck about on-site, playing pranks and what-not. They're also obsessed with new kit. We brought those two truths together with a sprinkle of magical realism for the 'Saber' spot. The result was one of the most successful new product launches in Crescent history, putting primary Competitor Stanely's Fatmax on the major backfoot.

 

Years before 'Saber' I wrote a spot featuring brand ambassador Sam Kekovich. The campaign resulted in a 34.5% sales increase YOY. I was an Account Manager at the time but the creative lead at the little indie agency I worked at was super open to hearing ideas. The client didn't have much budget for a director so I pitched a treatment and got the gig.

 

It's pretty raw but a couple of gags had some chops and I learned a lot about making film which has served me well working with directors since.
